Winter Comp Rd 5 / Princes Eclectic Rd 3
Harriet Carr was the winner with an excellent 39 points followed by Alison Chadwick with 33 points.
Harriet leads the cumulative Prince’s Eclectic after round 3.
Greg Albertyn had a glorious round to win Winter Comp Rnd 5 with 46 points, 2 ahead of Matt Mandelbaum and 4 ahead of Kerry Sargeant and Nigel Ward. Kerry shot level par for his 42 points but was rewarded with elevation to Category 1 status.
Toby Hunt maintains leading position in the Winter Competition, now just 1 ahead of Kerry. Graeme Syme is well poised in 3rd position, needing to better 30 points in one round to advance. In the associated Prince’s Eclectic, Kerry has a commanding four shot lead on 61, ahead of Toby and Graeme.
Winter Comp Rd 4 / Dukes Eclectic Rd 2
A lovely warm (relatively) and sunny day, a welcome respite after all the recent snow and rain brought benign conditions although the greens were soggy. The winner was Jayne Maxwell with 33 points followed by Cheryl Woodhouse with 31 points who pipped Susan Smith (also with 31 points) on the back 9.
This competition was played neither off the red tees nor off the ladies winter mats and so was not played on a measured course (as defined in CONGU UHS) hence it was not a qualifier for handicapping purposes.
Jayne Maxwell leads after two rounds in the cumulative Duke’s Eclectic Competition.
Kerry Sargeant (38 points) emerged the winner on a pleasantly sunny day following recent wintry conditions. He edged Steve Cross on the back 9 with a commendable one over par back 9. Steve has settled in at Richmond Park and has reduced his handicap by 2 since joining in late November, consistently scoring within ‘buffer’.
Consistent play by Toby Hunt earns him leading position in the Winter Competition and Duke’s Eclectic (the latter shared with Kerry).
Winter Comp Rd 3 / Princes Eclectic Rd 2
No play was possible due to snow covering the course.
